It appears Painesville has made it to the Skyscraper Page forum . I added a few comments of my own under the name "gothamite" These aren't greatest quality pictures, but a good start. Painesville is actually quite photogenic, IMO; maybe it can become a ubiquitous presence on this website-- forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=183517

Some of those are really cool pictures! I wonder why they chose to include that blue house on South Saint Clair, though. There are some way better-looking houses within a few houses of that one...

I've just discovered the skyscraperpage, but glancing through some of the threads at random it appears the person who took the pics is a regular contributor and was just passing through Painesville and took photos of what caught his eye, without really investigating everything the town has to offer. The older, big churches certainly stand out, but a lot of the historic old homes might not be that obvious. I would really like to see more photodocumentation of Painesville. There really are many architectural gems from the 19th century there, including, of course, some of the more stately buildings at Lake Erie College.
