What's the deal with the newest owner of the Steele Mansion (as per News Herald's recent article: www.news-herald.com/articles/2011/01/01/news/nh3437863.txt )? Is the restoration a real possibility? This is obviously going to be a herculean effort both in terms of labor and costs. It would be wonderful if it would come to fruition. Also, does anyone have any old photos of the mansion in its glory days? Those would be fascinating to see.

Welcome back, and thanks for posting (please post more, if the mood strikes)!
Last thing I had heard, prior to reading that article, was that Tim Herron and the city were butting heads BIG TIME. At one point, he was being threatened with jail time. That was last year or so. Tim was also thinking about filming horror movies in the house, if I recall right.
As much as I'd like to see this returned to some semblance of its former glory, I get the sneaking suspicion that the new owners will run out of cash or skill and this will continue to be an unfinished project on our main corridor.
